ACHILLES AND THE OTHERS. A Rhapsody of Heroes
Mythos – Classical Theater Festival
Friday, May 22, 9:00 p.m.
Villa Correr Pisani Park
The second event in Montebelluna featuring classical theater presented by the Mythos Festival: set against the backdrop of Villa Correr Pisani, Tema Cultura’s production is dedicated to the final confrontation between Achilles and Hector (Iliad XII), an opportunity to celebrate the grandeur of the myth of the classical hero with all its light and shadow, where the end becomes a ritual, the only antidote to human transience. The performance combines and reinterprets, in Giovanna Cordova’s original script, Homer’s text with cutting-edge staging techniques. The narrative unfolds as a fluid, uninterrupted flow of movement, music, and speech, featuring the young actors of Tema Academy, already acclaimed by audiences for their performance of “Cinisca: The Princess Who Spoke to Horses.” In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, May 31.
