“Today we are inaugurating yet another intervention carried out thanks to Regional Law 39/1991 on road safety and in synergy with the local administration of Ormelle. The work, which will make the road safer for weak road users, aims at enhancing slow and sustainable mobility by connecting it with existing cycle paths and routes. The new infrastructure, which in its route intercepts the ancient Via Postumia, is also part of a wide-ranging cycle itinerary, allowing cyclists to enjoy the historical, architectural and environmental beauties’.
This was said by the Vice-President and Councillor for Infrastructure and Transport of the Veneto Region, Elisa De Berti, at the inauguration of the first section of the new cycle path in Roncadelle di Ormelle, in the province of Treviso.
“For the construction of the new cycle and pedestrian path, which runs along the SP 34 road, we were able to allocate the municipality a contribution of €295,000 out of a total investment of €590,000,” explained Vice-President De Berti. “The Region’s commitment to making cycle and pedestrian routes easier and safer continues, contributing to enhancing our territory also from the tourism point of view.
