Belluno, 29 December 2022. At the end of the year we take stock of activities, but our gaze goes to those processes that mark the territory and its people and to the future that awaits
them, – says the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti and Assocamerestero Mario Pozza -.
In all this, families, human resources, the activities of private individuals and institutions, art and the nature of places are the essential elements of an identity that recognises history
and looks to the future.
The future, as are the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games – Milano Cortina 2026, exists in respect for the past and in the work to be done in the present, mainly in the context of the
Belluno valleys.
I intend that it is indispensable to first of all create a culture in young people, as we are doing together with the Veneto Region and the International FICTS Federation and the Regional
School Office, with the GenerAZIONE2026 project thanks to which we have reached every school, in every valley, talking about the Olympic and Paralympic values that can inspire the actions of
each one in daily life and in the vision of one’s career, in society and at work.
A work alongside teachers and families in the name of sport and a production system such as the Sportsystem and the Eyewear sector, which work in a sustainable manner and with examples of
welfare unique in the world, to make every performance, a successful performance.
The network of institutions is fundamental, and the Institutions’ Greetings made clear to the public the close and proactive collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce with civil and military
institutions in the Belluno area. Collaboration made up of meetings, of sharing, of searching for solutions on territorial safety and to make life and work in the valley, still fascinating and
attractive.
Projects that do not cause much of a stir, but which work silently to create new opportunities and also rediscover awareness.
As are the values of craftsmanship with the support for the Feltre craftsmanship exhibition, the valorisation of the dairy products of the two provinces, because the culinary-food sector is
culture, the project “Cronache fantastiche” about Dino Buzzati (Fantastic Chronicles) that links the two provinces and presents itself to the world, the Palio di Feltre project – the ancient
games for the next games, the Filiera corta (Short supply chain) to recognise and promote the value of the food quality in the world. And then the events that animate the cities and business
activities such as the events in Belluno. We have worked together with the Province of Belluno to incentivise shops, with the announcement of neighbourhood businesses, which has been an
absolute success, investing in realities that have come up with new solutions.
These are all pieces that work to create a winning link between the slopes, medals and champions that will be in the spotlight at Milan – Cortina 2026 and the territory that will be ready
and trained to present itself to the world and continue to win as an attractor for young people, businesses and a tourism that finds the world’s best in the discovery of the Belluno valleys,
its people, culture and innovation, such as the eyewear district with EssilorLuxottica, which makes the Italian chamber system and the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad proud and
grateful.
