(AVN) – Venice, 19 February 2022 – The President of the Veneto Region, Luca Zaia, met the President of Unioncamere del Veneto, Mario Pozza, at Palazzo Balbi.
The meeting was fruitful and cordial, confirming the willingness of the two institutions to further consolidate their collaboration. The meeting was also an opportunity to take stock of various
issues concerning the priorities for the development and growth of the economic system of our region, such as, for example, the NRP, tourism, the trade fair system and aid to companies
linked to the Covid-19 pandemic emergency.
On this front, the Region and the Chamber system will continue to collaborate on calls for tenders and refunds and their management, which has produced important results in terms of efficiency and
controls.
Unioncamere Veneto has also reiterated its willingness to support the Region in the management of resources with the aim of bringing European Union funds to the ground.
The Chamber System, thanks to its competences and its territorial roots, can represent a fundamental subject to favour the development and realisation of the projects, as established by the
Decree Law 152 of 6 November 2021 – Urgent provisions for the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and for the prevention of mafia infiltration”, which identifies the
Chambers of Commerce as the subject that local authorities can use to ensure the effective and timely implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan interventions.
The meeting also discussed tourism, a subject on which the two institutions have direct competence. The aim is to put in place targeted and joint actions to make economies of scale, in particular,
as regards promotion. A fundamental aspect to support the sector after the difficult months linked to the pandemic. And the work being done together with Ca’ Foscari will continue with a
digital platform that will provide Veneto with continuous and reliable information, precise data analysis and real knowledge of the evolution of tourism phenomena, in order to make targeted and
incisive decisions.
The two Presidents then stressed the importance of the region’s trade fair system, from Longarone to Verona, which represents a reference point at national level. Lastly, the events scheduled for
2022 were discussed, starting with the convention of the Mirabilia Network, which brings together 17 Italian Chambers of Commerce with the aim of enhancing areas that share
significant historical, cultural and environmental importance, as well as UNESCO sites.
And the sports events linked to the Generazione 2026 project, created by FICTS in collaboration with the Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce and the Veneto Region, which aims to transmit and
spread the culture of sport through educational and training activities in view of the next Olympics, involving over 7,550 young people.
Mario Pozza, President of Unioncamere Veneto, commented on the meeting: “Our relationship with the Region is solid and consolidated, and I would like to thank the President and the
councillors for this. We are working positively and profitably on various fronts with the aim of supporting our economic system. The ability to work as a team between institutions is now essential
to create the conditions necessary for the development and growth of local businesses.
