The President of Unioncamere Veneto Mario Pozza, together with the Director of Venicepromex Conzato, met the Chinese Ambassador in Rome today. The meeting is part of the actions planned within the Beijing Olympic route from which Cortina will receive the baton for Milan-Cortina 2026.
The meeting was held in the presence of Mayor Ghedina and Deputy Mayor Alverà of Cortina d’Ampezzo, with economic and commercial operators of hotel tourism and ski lifts.
It was an important opportunity to illustrate the potential of the reception and hospitality that the Veneto system and, in particular Cortina with the Olympic Games, will be able to offer to Chinese tourists – said President Pozza.
On the strength of our experience and the quality of the products of our companies, today, the Veneto system has presented itself by gathering the attention of the Chinese world not only in view of the next Winter Olympics in Beijing, but also in the post-event period.
I am honoured by the opportunity to meet the Chinese Ambassador, and I would like to thank Mayor Ghedina and Vice Mayor Alverà of Cortina d’Ampezzo who organised this meeting in the pearl of the Dolomites.
With the ambassador we shared the project that Venicepromex has in place with the Veneto Region, to attract Chinese tourists with the potential that China can offer to Italian tourism. Our region and our entrepreneurial system are ready and Cortina is a prestigious gateway to be proud of.
The meeting was also an opportunity to illustrate the Chamber system with the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad, and in particular with the Asian Chambers of Commerce of Hong Kong and Beijing.
I am pleased,” concluded the President, “to have also had a favourable meeting with the entrepreneurs of the ski lifts and accommodation facilities in Cortina and with Chamber Councillor De Zanna, with whom there was a favourable exchange of information, also to present the projects underway by the chamber system in conjunction with the Veneto Region.
