Pordenone, Feb. 1, 2024. The “Northeastern System for Internationalization” successfully debuts at SAMUEXPO 2024, an international exhibition event organized by the Pordenone Fair. The joint participation with dedicated booth of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Veneto Region and the Autonomous Province of Trento is a significant step to strengthen regional integration and promote the Triveneto region in global markets.
The “Northeastern System for Internationalization” Project brings together, in addition to local authorities, numerous Triveneto and international entities, institutions and realities: Finest S.p.A., Sprint FVG, Unioncamere Veneto, Trentino Sviluppo, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and Croatian Chamber of Crafts – Chamber of Crafts of the Istrian Region, Venice-Rovigo Chamber of Commerce and Venicepromex.
A unique team for business internationalization.
The issue, today, before everyone’s eyes, is the redefinition of global value chains, with many companies adopting strategies of nearshoring, that is, regionalization – says Regional Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia Sergio Emidio Bini – By virtue of its special geopolitical location, Friuli Venezia Giulia is being given innovative tools to develop economic and financial cooperation with certain areas, including of course the Balkans and Eastern Europe, which have recently gained renewed attention from the Italian government. This is precisely the purpose with which we conceived and built the project “Northeast System for Internationalization.” A happy intuition that has allowed us to create strong partnership ties and that leads us today to inaugurate the first institutional stand of Sistema Nord Est at an international trade fair event, which our Region also has the honor of hosting.
Projects such as this one – comments Veneto Region’s Councillor for Foreign Trade, Tourism and EU Funds Federico Caner – underscore the strategic contribution that the public can make to the internationalization of the economic system and the growth of exports, a fundamental aspect for the vibrant productive realities of an integrated and homogeneous territory such as the Northeast. The intervention of the institutions, in collaboration with the many excellences of the business world in the Northeast, is an extra decisive factor for a synergic development of the territories, since, as the saying goes, “Going alone you go fast, but together you go farther.”
For Achille Spinelli, Councillor for Economic Development, Research and Labor of the Autonomous Province of Trento – The Triveneto production system has peculiarities that make it
unique and recognizable in Italy and in the world, and it is the task of institutions first and foremost to team up to support our companies in global challenges. Especially in a scenario as rich in complexity as the current one, in which it is necessary to support companies in the area, including SMEs, to be as competitive as possible.
The Northeast System stands out for its many initiatives aimed at supporting companies in their international expansion. The “Video Promozionale per la tua azienda” (“Promotional Video for Your Company”) project has already produced 56 free promotional videos for selected companies and is producing 33 more, providing a valuable digital communication tool to increase companies’ visibility in global markets.
In addition, the Northeast System has designed online courses focusing on key issues such as security, digitization and legal, financial and administrative aspects of international business, thus promoting technical training for SMEs.
The Observatory on the Internationalization of the Northeast System, a sophisticated analytical tool that contributes to the expansion of the economic strategies of the territories involved, was recently established.
Business matching activities foster cooperation between Triveneto businesses and new markets, including through economic-institutional missions to countries of interest and events dedicated to specific sectors, such as food and wine, both Triveneto and the Istrian and Croatian area.
Alessandro Minon, President of Finest S.p.A., the entity entrusted by the Regions and the Province for the development and coordination of the Project activities, expresses great satisfaction for the fundamental contribution of the Northeast System in accompanying companies in their internationalization paths – Creating synergies among Triveneto companies and establishing commercial and productive collaborations with neighboring countries, especially Serbia and the rest of the Balkans, is vital in the current world geopolitical scenario.
Nearshoring and friendshoring emerge as expansive strategies that are best suited to current dynamics,” concludes Alessandro Minon.
