Milan, 29th April 2022 – The President of the Chamber of Commerce Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti and Unioncamere Veneto Mario Pozza within the project Generation 2026,
attended with the Olympic gold medalist Filippo Tortu, with the National Vice-President CONI Claudia Giordani, with the Undersecretary of the delegation of sport great events and
Olympics 2026 Lombardy Region Antonio Rossi, with the President AICS Bruno Molea, with the President of Coni Lombardy Marco Riva, invited by the President FICTS Franco
Ascani, at the Arena of Milan at the event: “Lo sport a scuola c’è“, three days of sport by the students of Lombardy with the novelty that this year also competes the
delegation of students winners of the Treviso school trophies. Veneto and Lombardy as Olympic areas are working together with schools and companies in view of Milan – Cortina 2026.

The Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti immediately supported the “Generation 2026” project, considering it a significant best practice in the world of sport aimed at
the younger generations. Together with the Veneto Region, the Regional School Office, the FICTS and the Sportsystem companies, the Chamber believes in the importance of
the values of sport also for a good economy of the territories.
I am pleased to be here today and to see how important sport is for the younger generations – commented President Mario Pozza – You can feel enthusiasm, team spirit and belonging.
The School and the institutions give a significant example of a great shared role between the Italian regions in the 2026 Olympic Games. This interregional embrace is made by the students
and their teachers, who want to be there and participate. I would like to thank the Regional School Office of Veneto, the regional manager Dr. Palumbo, the provincial manager Dr.
Sardella, Prof. Chiarotti who brought a delegation of students from Treviso, selected in the Marca competitions. I would also like to thank Prof. Ascani, an Italian member of
the IOC and the creator of this project. His is a vision of the role of sport and the values it is capable of transmitting to future generations.

Generation 2026 is a project created to create a window of intergenerational dialogue in view of the next Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan – Cortina 2026.
It includes the “MILAN 2022 TROPHIES – Education, Culture and Sport for Young People” sprint race (m. 60 – m. 80) and the mixed relay, which this year have expanded geographically to the
“Olympic Areas” and have involved – as part of the “GENERAZIONE2026” project – schools in the Veneto region with Treviso and Belluno for a total of 7,552 students and schools in
Sondrio.
On the final day of the Trophies with the “Tripod Lighting Ceremony” in the presence of the Authorities, sports champions including the Olympic Champion (4×100) Filippo Tortu, the
President of the Chamber of Commerce Treviso-Belluno | Dolomiti and Unioncamere Veneto Mario Pozza awarded the “Generation 2026” delegation of Treviso students.
The “TROFEI DI MILANO” are organised – in agreement with the world of School – by AICS Milanese in collaboration with FICTS (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, the only
Italian Member of the IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission) with the support of ICS – Istituto per il Credito Sportivo and Fastweb, under the patronage of Regione
Lombardia and the sponsorship of CONI Regionale, Comune di Milano and FIDAL.
