Thanks to financial support from Unioncamere Veneto, Coldiretti Veneto has launched a project dedicated to promoting rural tourism. The initiative aims to redirect the flow of foreign and Italian tourists, who today are primarily familiar with Veneto’s art cities and beaches, toward lesser-known areas, with the goal of showcasing a new side of Veneto.
This objective is pursued by highlighting family-run and rural hospitality, traditions, hands-on experiences, and folk art. These approaches clearly distinguish the offerings of rural areas from the typical tourist accommodations provided by restaurants and hotels in cities and along the coast.
In this context, thanks to their multifunctionality, agricultural enterprises have developed specific programs and created new professional roles capable of integrating certain public services. In particular, educational content is emphasized, capable of enriching the school experience, and health and social rehabilitation are facilitated thanks to the many opportunities offered by social farming.
Finally, the project highlights the significant and irreplaceable contribution made by women entrepreneurs throughout the agricultural and rural sectors.
