Treviso, 16 September 2022. The second day of GenerAZIONE2026 was an intense afternoon of emotions, with the inauguration of the Exhibitions in the Chamber of Commerce, by the President of the
Chamber of Commerce Mario Pozza, Mayor Mario Conte, Prefect Angelo Sidoti and Prof. Franco Ascani, followed by the Awards Ceremony, in a blaze of attendance that saw the
Mario del Monaco Theatre sold-out.
President Pozza opened the ceremony, then partecipated the Regional Councillor for Education, Training and Equal Opportunities, and Assindustria Venetocentro Vice President Alberto Zanatta,
who awarded the basketball athlete Bianca Rossi.
Curling gold medallist at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games Amos Mosaner was also there, awarded by President Pozza and the commander of the 31st storno.
In the uniforms of various sports clubs were the athletes of Atletica Ponzano who carried the Olympic torch, the Borgo Molino Vigna Fiorita cycling club, that saw Alessio delle Vedove
awarded as European and World Italian champion in the track team pursuit, the Musano ASD figure skating school with the athletes of the ‘Flaming Skaters’ quartet on the podium at the Skating
World Cup championship, and Atletica Ponzano Veneto, which awarded Michela Moretton, European champion in the under 23 cross 2021 team event. The referees could not be absent with 12
representatives, President Calogero Castellino, deputy Giorgio Rossetto and Stefano Lecca.
From the valleys of Belluno to the plains of Treviso, 32 schools were present for the GenerAZIONE2026 project, and the stage was filled with students and professors from the schools, who were
honoured by Monsignor Mario Salviati, representing the Bishop of Treviso.
