Integral ecology, cooperation between Italy and the United States, technological innovation at the service of the environment, quality agri-food supply chains and food management, media responsibility and the sustainability of major events: these are some of the themes that will be at the heart of the XVII International Forum on Information for the Safeguard of Nature, promoted by Greenaccord ETS and the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno|Dolomiti, scheduled in Treviso from 18 to 21 March 2026 under the title “Building Future Together – A new humanity thirsting for the future”.
For four days, Treviso will become a widespread global newsroom, welcoming over 100 journalists from 40 countries alongside institutional representatives, public administrators, innovative businesses, academics and figures from the world of art and culture. The Forum will take place in Ca’ dei Carraresi and at the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno|Dolomiti and will be structured around an inaugural session and six thematic sessions dedicated to the crucial nodes of the ecological transition and the construction of a shared vision of integral ecology, capable of holding together environment, economy, social dimension and cultural responsibility.
The 2026 edition has a strategic importance for the construction of a bridge between the Triveneto region and the State of Colorado. Territories united by a mountain identity, a strong sporting and tourist vocation, technological innovation, dynamic production systems and growing attention to environmental policies, Veneto and Colorado will be the protagonists of a concrete comparison on sustainable mobility, territorial planning, clean technologies, mountain economy and sustainability governance. Among the international speakers, institutional and entrepreneurial representatives from Colorado are expected, along with protagonists of American technological innovation, bearing witness to a dialogue that looks to the Rocky Mountains and the Dolomites as laboratory territories for transatlantic cooperation. The session dedicated to sustainability and business will also feature the participation of SACE, highlighting the interest in investments that support the ecological transition.
In this regard, Stephanie Garnica, Director of International Relations and Cooperation for Denver, stated «my role is to oversee the office for economic development and opportunity for Denver, supervising the global engagement, business attraction, and innovation/entrepreneurship teams. In my address at the Forum, I will be pleased to provide an overview of our City’s entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives and illustrate their connection to climate resilience and sustainability. Denver – which has a dedicated office that handles the city’s initiatives on climate action, sustainability, and resilience – will be hosting Climate Week at the end of March/beginning of April, and as a community, we will be focusing on green initiatives».
The inaugural session of the Forum will be held at Ca’ dei Carraresi, hosted by Fondazione Cassamarca. In this session, after the institutional greetings, there will be a remote connection with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Mario Lubetkin. This will be followed by a segment dedicated to Zeno Colò, who won two gold medals at the 1950 World Championships in Aspen, narrated by sports journalist Franco Bragagna, and a focus on the sustainability of major international events, led by Gloria Zavatta, Sustainability & Impact Director of Milano Cortina 2026, to illustrate the Games’ sustainability report and the strategies adopted to reduce environmental impact and ensure a positive legacy for the host territories. The session will conclude with a concert by Giuseppe Gibboni, winner of the 2021 Paganini Prize.
The program will also cover the relationship between nature and beauty, the wellbeing economy, urban regeneration, bioarchitecture, sustainable agriculture, food supply chains, digital technology, and the ecology of mind and soul. A closing session will be dedicated to the role of media, with the participation of journalists from the Greenaccord network and of the Greenaccord International Media Award to Covering Climate Now (CCN), a North American organization committed to narrating the challenges of climate change.
In the sessions scheduled in the program, the presence and interventions of Michelin-starred Chef Chiara Pavan, German bio-architect Martin Hass, the Deputy Mayor of Granada Ana Agudo, Venetian Cardinal Beniamino Stella, bio museologist Maurizio Vanni, Head of Sustainability at Spotify Hanna Grahn, Korean museologist Won-Joo Suh, and US entrepreneurs Wayne Ronahaar, Ratna Sarma, Siam Sarma, and Micheal Mayr are of particular note.
Alongside moments of debate, the Forum will offer training courses accredited by the Italian ODG for journalists and opportunities for meeting local businesses, with the aim of promoting Treviso and Belluno as a European laboratory for environmental innovation and international cooperation.
Particularly significant is the support of the Camera di Commercio di Treviso-Belluno Dolomiti, which will host the Forum’s main sessions and help position the area as a European hub for sustainability and innovation.
For four days – highlights Mario Pozza, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomiti – the city of Treviso will become a widespread global newsroom, capable of bringing together over one hundred journalists from forty countries in dialogue with institutions, businesses, and the academic world. This means attracting relationships, building international reputation, and positioning our production system within the major trajectories of the ecological transition.
We have always believed – the President continues –in sustainability as a competitive lever for our companies and for the environment. By supporting Greenaccord ETS, which offers an important program and high-profile speakers, we give a further boost to businesses towards a competitiveness founded on sustainability, innovation, and responsibility.
Integral ecology, cooperation between Europe and the United States, the dialogue with Colorado, technological innovation at the service of the environment, and the reflection about the sustainability of major events, starting with the Milano Cortina 2026 model, are strategic pillars focused directly to the future of our production system.
Treviso – concludes Pozza –becomes an international platform for dialogue, a concrete opportunity to strengthen global relations, attract expertise, and position the territory as a laboratory for ecological transition.
