PRESENTATION: Libreria Chiodo Fisso was born from the desire to create not only a shop where one can buy books, but also a place to return to and stay, a place to meet and dialogue, favouring the variety and diversity of the literary proposal on offer, emphasising certain languages, publishing houses, themes and approaches, focusing on community and people, paying attention to care and simplicity and not quantity and large numbers.
DISTINCTIVE PROJECT DETAILS: the choice to focus on meticulous research and selection of the books; the emphasis given to certain themes or issues and to inclusive and accessible language. In addition to this, there is the ability to create cultural initiatives for the local community, for example by offering literary walks and collaborating with summer centres.
ABILITIES AND MOTIVATIONS: The ability of a small place, in a small country to cultivate through books, great cultures.
The culture of diversity, of gender, of inclusion. The culture of reuse. Attention to the languages used and to the attitudes assumed. The evolution into a place of encounter and confrontation at the service to the entire community.
