A walk-around tasting of around 300 different wines in a stunningly beautiful setting: Vino in Villa is an opportunity to get to know Prosecco Superiore in its natural habitat.
Come and admire (with a glass of the world’s most popular D.O.C.G. sparkling wine in your hand) a thirteenth-century castle and hillsides covered in hand-crafted vineyards – a landscape in line to
become a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The event is devoted to exploring the historic production area for Prosecco through the opportunity to meet 80 producers, from large-scale companies to small,
boutique wineries. They will tell you in person about their stories, philosophies and distinctive characteristics, as well as presenting the new vintage, the product of a year that will be
remembered as one of the best in the last decade. From 10 a.m.to 10 p.m., the Festival will offer members of the trade, journalists and consumers alike a full immersion in the world of Prosecco
Superiore.
The heart of the action will not be limited to the wine tasting, though. Those attending Vino in Villa will also have a chance to discover the region of Conegliano Valdobbiadene beyond the Castle’s
walls, in a tour that visits the principal places and attractions in the Denomination. This region is as effervescent and dynamic as its sparkling wine, so allow yourself to be seduced by the
gastronomic, cultural and artistic delights that this hilly area has to offer. Among these is the exhibition entitled “Un Cinquecento Inquieto” (The Restless Sixteenth Century), which has brought
some 20 precious works of art to Palazzo Sarcinelli in Conegliano and promotes a similar number in a touristic/cultural itinerary that continues throughout the region.
For lovers of good food, during Vino in Villa the area’s top restaurants offer the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Menus, in which the Denomination’s sparkling wines are paired with the local cuisine and
typical seasonal ingredients, interpreted in a creative way.
