Rimini, 13 October 2023 – The engines are warming up for “Mirabilia 2023”, XI International Cultural Tourism Exchange and VII Food & Drink Tourism Exchange, scheduled in Lipari from 14 to 17 October 2023. With its presence in Rimini, on the occasion of TTG Travel Experience, Mirabilia Network announces the important event coming to the Aeolian Islands.

TTG Travel Experience, taking place these days (11-13 October), is proposed as the most important B2B event for the tourism product in Italy. A fundamental moment of encounter, as emphasised by Vito Signati, National Coordinator of Mirabilia Network:
We are in Rimini because it is a fundamental partner in identifying our buyers. We strongly believe in participating in this appointment, as it is a further moment of encounter and opportunity, which can generate new developments.

Mirabilia was born in 2018, following a project path started in 2012, and is inspired by the creation of an integrated network of territories with Unesco sites. It brings together, to date, 21 Italian Chambers of Commerce and National Unioncamere .

TTG is an institutional partner for us, – Signati emphasises, – because it selects the most qualified delegation of buyers to attend the Tourism Exchange that Mirabilia organises annually. Our presence here also allows us to announce what we will be doing in the coming days: immediately after Rimini, in fact, we will be in Lipari with the Cultural and Food and Wine Tourism Exchange.

Mirabilia is itinerant in these stock exchange appointments, to better promote the territories and bring out all the values of an area. The association’s activities embrace important areas and themes, explains Signati: ‘Mirabilia is not only a stock exchange – which is an important aspect – but also deals with ecological transition and technological innovation. In the Lipari edition, these topics will be treated and developed in a timely manner and in agreement with the local administrations. Formal agreements will also be signed, according to which pilot projects can be envisaged to further raise awareness in these areas’.

The Lipari event is expected to be attended by qualified international buyers from the tourism and agri-food sectors: a total of about 100 buyers from all over the world will meet over 200 sellers, economic operators from the 21 Italian territories.

This year we will also have a group of French sellers, confirming their interest that they have already shown in Mirabilia, –  anticipates Vito Signati. Mirabilia is a model that they intend to borrow in France, where there has already been a small first edition, with the hope of growing. A model, moreover, that is also being launched in Croatia and Greece.

Turning to the topics that will be addressed in Lipari, Signati explains: The importance of food and Italian cuisine will be the subject of an interesting debate. Another topic, on which Mirabilia has been present for some time, is the ecological transition: we are developing a reasoning with Conai (National Packaging Consortium) and an agreement will be signed between the municipal administrations of the Aeolian islands, Conai and Mirabilia to create a project that will be financed by Conai to support awareness and education activities on waste recovery. Furthermore, great importance will also be given to technological innovation.
