Today is a great day for Veneto region. The infrastructural development of our Region is fundamental for making the territories grow and giving the provinces the chance to release their energies.
These are the words of Upi Veneto (Union of the Provinces of Veneto) vice-president Roberto Padrin, who this morning, on behalf of president Stefano Marcon, took part in the laying of the foundation stone for the railway link to Venice airport, in the presence of infrastructure minister Matteo Salvini.
Strategic works like this are fundamental for moving people, goods and tourists. Venice airport as a key hub for the Veneto region is of primary importance and international appeal. Connecting it with the regional and national railway network means developing all the provinces by creating a widespread network of infrastructures capable of providing the integrated and intermodal transport that creates services in the territories. The provinces in their coordinating role believe in the ability to create connections that serve the communities and territories.
