Speakers:
Danilo Gasparini (University of Padua) will open the proceedings by analyzing the construction of Venetian gastronomic identity through figures such as Mazzotti and Maffioli.
Enrico Zucchi (University of Padua) will explore the link between wine and literature in the narrative of Prosecco
Marco Perale (President of the Buzzati Association) will delve into the relationship between food and the body in Buzzati’s work, exploring the interplay between eros and death.
Emanuele Zoppellari (University of Turin) will present a comparison between Buzzati and Ernst Jünger on the theme of hunting.
The morning will conclude with a sensory experience featuring guided tastings of the finest products from the two regions: cheeses from the Frontin Dairy and the Valmorel Dairy (the place of Buzzati’s soul), ApiDolomiti and the Bottega di Combai, and wines from the Cantina dea Rivalta, with the support of experts from Onaf in Belluno.
The initiative is part of the project “Buzzati and the Network of Miracles,” organized by the International Dino Buzzati Association in collaboration with and with the support of the Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce.
