Rome, 17 July 2019- Yesterday in Rome the meeting to present the UNESCO recognition of Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene took place in the wonderful setting of Horti Sallustiani at
Unioncamere Nazionale
Since the 82 Chamber of Commerce Presidents have acknowledged that the new UNESCO World Heritage Site belongs to all the peoples of the world, the Chambers of Commerce will be even more committed
in creating a common network between the World Heritage Sites in Italy. This joint collaboration will play an important role in managing tourism in order to show the world the marvels of our
country.
In this regard, Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce will soon become a member of Mirabilia Network, an Association that has been promoting UNESCO sites and surrounding areas for a few
years-says President Pozza-. By joining this Network, we will offer our contribution through our UNESCO World Heritage Status and our Dolomiti’s enchanted valleys that celebrate their 10th
anniversary in the prestigious World Heritage List.
During the meeting, all present raised a toast with Prosecco DOC and DOCG and were offered Tiramisù, the most popular Italian dessert. Moreover, a package of Prosecco DOCG wine, the chalice of
“Primavera del Prosecco Superiore” and the movie “Finchè c’è Prosecco c’è speranza” were delivered to the public at the meeting.
I would like to thank Prosecco DOC Consortium, the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Protection Consortium, Mrs. Antonella who runs the restaurant “Al
Fogher” where the orginal recipe of Tiramisù was invented. I want to thank the President Gianni Garatti and Alessandro Martini, the director of Marca Treviso Foundation who organized this event in
Rome.
In view of the next Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, which is an event that will affect the whole country from Bolzano to Trapani, this meeting represented a great opportunity to establish
agreements with the Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of Milan, Sondrio, Trento and Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti
In September- says President Pozza- the first meeting in September to outline the common strategies will be held in Milan.
The Chambers of Commerce, in particular, might offer their support in attesting the quality of hotels and extra-hotels facilities. When visiting our country, the tourists
will have to find appropriate hotel facilities. Above all, we will have to offer an excellent and sustainable quality of our hospitality structures to welcome our guests. Moreover we will have to
provide top quality hotel facilities at all levels: the hotels, the extra-hotel one, the “open-air” one and the “albergo diffuso” that is having a truly extraordinary development
and that our governor Zaia strongly supported. We will work in synergy with the Regions following the strategic plan on tourism and the three-year national strategic plan that ENIT will present in
these days.
