Belluno, 21 May 2024 – The collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomites and the ITS Academy Turismo Veneto continues, with absolute certainty of success for tourism in the Veneto region. The two-year post-diploma Master’s course ‘Dolomiti Tourism Marketing&Communication’ will be launched with some new features, including the implementation of digital marketing and augmented and virtual reality workshops.

We are working,’ points out the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomites Mario Pozza, “for the education of young people in the field of tourism. It is a sector that increasingly requires people to be trained to a very high level, for a demand that is increasingly exigent. The Chamber of Commerce is supporting, together with the Veneto Region and local stakeholders, the course ITS Academy Turismo Veneto. We are also investing one million euro in the renovation of the Chamber of Commerce site in Belluno to create two new classrooms, an independent access, and a rearranged garden, to provide a modern, welcoming space for students and teachers.

ITS Academy Turismo Veneto,’ emphasises the President of Confcommercio Belluno-Dolomiti, Paolo Doglioni, ’is the proper tool for dealing with tourism, which can no longer be a mediocrity, especially mountain tourism, and in any case tourism throughout Italy, which must be able to address qualified and capable people, and this is precisely the direction we have taken.

Training is a fundamental driver in the development of territories,’ specifies Enrica Scopel, Director of ITS Academy Turismo Veneto. Themes such as sustainability, accessibility, inclusion and digitalisation will be crucial and differentiating themes in the development of targeted skills, especially in an area that will host the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

The President of the Fondazione Dmo Dolomiti Bellunesi Emanuela De Zanna: The Dolomiti Bellunesi territory is working on several fronts to enhance the tourism sector, in order to seize the opportunities that the Winter Olympics and Paralympics Milan Cortina will offer from 2026 onwards. The quality of the touristic offer is an unavoidable factor, and in order to achieve it, it is necessary to work at a territorial level in a synergic and cohesive manner and to enhance the training of operators, both today’s and tomorrow’s.
Our Chamber of Commerce, by choosing to host the ITS Academy Turismo Veneto at its headquarters in Belluno, once again demonstrates sensitivity and great strategic vision. A synergy that has been further consolidated this year with the opening of the new offices of the Fondazione DMO Dolomiti Bellunesi in the same building.
We are certain that the proximity of these two important realities will favour new collaborations and generative contaminations between the DMO, currently engaged in the role of governance to consolidate the tourism positioning of the Belluno Dolomites, and the students of the ITS, who represent the future of our territory.

The launch of this innovative training course in tourism represents an important milestone for the growth and development of the local tourism industry.

The Master’s programme, successfully launched in October 2023, provides students with high-level technical and practical skills, preparing them to face the challenges of the sector professionally and effectively.

The Belluno area, which is preparing to host the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, assumes a central role in the training of professionals from the tourism sector ready to host an event of global importance. The Master Dolomiti Tourism therefore stands as a fundamental resource to prepare a new generationof tour operators, capable of managing the influx of visitors and making the most of the opportunities in view of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The two-year ITS courses guarantee immediate entry into the world of employment thanks to their close ties with local tourism companies, which, more than ever before, need to train their personnel to offer a welcome that is increasingly in line with market demands.
