Treviso – Belluno – Verona, 29/11/2024. The deadline for free registrations to the 4th edition of the “GenerAZIONE2026 – Sport powered by youth and education” Project is approaching. This year, schools will compete for €5,000 worth of sports equipment and enjoy many new features.

The educational initiative GenerAZIONE2026 has been officially included in the “Education Gen26Program by the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026. This recognition highlights the activities of FICTS in schools and establishes the organization as a partner of the Chambers of Commerce and the Veneto Region for the implementation of the project.

The 2025 Program, coming closer to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, promises significant media, tourism, and economic impact, enhancing the region’s image through the dedicated efforts of the Chambers of Commerce.

At the heart of this initiative are schools, school administrators, teachers, and the energy, motivation, and achievements of young students.

Among this year’s new features are Minister Andrea Abodi‘s words of praise for the activities of FICTS President Prof. Ascani, and Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation CEO Andrea Varnier, who will give even more space to the project in Gen26.

Project participants will be the protagonists of a major event during the Milano Cortina 2026 Games.

Mario Pozza, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti: This project engages youth in the present, looking toward the future with unwavering trust in what they will represent. Four years of intense collaboration is already a great success. I encourage all schools in Treviso and Belluno to participate with their usual enthusiasm, which inspires and energizes us when we meet you in schools and during the grand awards ceremony at the Mario del Monaco Theater. This theater lights up with participation and excitement, contrasting with the profound silence as we listen to the words of Olympic champions, sharing stories of victory, defeat, resilience, and clear focus on their goals.

Professor Franco Ascani, FICTS President: In collaboration with the Chambers of Commerce and the Veneto Region, our primary goal is to highlight the Olympic and Paralympic spirit, following the guidelines of the IOC’s Culture Commission. We aim to transform the young generation of ‘Generazione 2026’ into true protagonists of a unique journey through the world of sports and education, just over a year from the 2026 Games. This is an extraordinary opportunity to encourage young people (and beyond) to use their creativity in generating sports content, supported by enhanced physical activity where sport is seen as a global movement serving humanity and educating citizens.
