Belluno, Feb. 26, 2024 – Three days of lectures, both practical and theoretical, dedicated to the world of transportation and logistics: it is unprecedented the initiative that the Transportation Section of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti organized at the Istituto Catullo in the capital city, involving about fifty students from the three classes of the Import – Export Logistics address. The orientation and training cycle took place between last Thursday and Saturday with specialized teachers, professionals, and entrepreneurs.

We gave the students all the tools to fully learn about our industry. We need to create a new awareness of the many opportunities present in Belluno companies, which remain an excellence on a national and international level – says Christian Da Canal, president of the Section Only by actively involving our young people can we ensure the development of a strategic sector, which represents the backbone of provincial manufacturing and, more generally, of Made in Italy. For this, it is imperative to enter schools and dialogue with teachers, students, and families. This is also why I thank the Catullo leadership for opening its doors to us.

During the three days of activities, the professional figures operating in the sector, the role of driver-drivers, the use of new technologies and “Goliath,” the platform dedicated to the organization and management of road transport, were explained.
A focus was devoted to the issues of sustainable mobility, the “mobility manager” and the evolution of intermodal transport. The last day, on the other hand, focused entirely on safe driving and ecodriving, with the students engaging in practical tests with the help of a state-of-the-art driving simulator, specially brought to Belluno. There was also no shortage of moments of discussion with entrepreneurs.

It was an intense but exciting three days, during which the participants showed curiosity and interest. This means that we need to talk to our young people about opportunities, listening to them and conveying confidence – Da Canal continued.

New technologies have changed our industry, which is also grappling with a complex green transition but which in turn requires new skills. We are a constantly moving industry, ideal for those who want to challenge themselves. Therefore, we will continue with a massive orientation work in schools – Da Canal’s conclusion.
