The final formal step in the redevelopment project for the Treviso Belluno Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce has been completed.
This morning, at Ca’ Sugana, Treviso Mayor Mario Conte and Chamber President Mario Pozza signed the program agreement for the amendment to the Intervention Plan, which officially recognizes the public interest in the project to redevelop and enhance the Chamber’s real estate complex.
Through the signed document, the Chamber of Commerce confirmed its objective to maintain its offices within the Piazza della Borsa complex, ensuring the continued presence of essential services for citizens and businesses within the historic center. Furthermore, the Chamber intends to carry out a comprehensive renovation of the building, made unavoidable by the current structural, thermal, acoustic, functional, and safety conditions, as well as the need to comply with current seismic regulations.
The project will enhance and modernize the Chamber’s headquarters, making more suitable use of the available spaces within the complex, with benefits extending to the entire Via Roma area, thanks to the renovation and revitalization of the building within the urban context.
Specifically, the project will involve the restoration and redevelopment of the historical parts of the complex, subject to heritage protection, located along Via Fiumicelli, as well as the urban and architectural regeneration of the more modern sections. This includes preserving the design of the modern facades and stone cladding along Via Toniolo and Piazza Borsa by dismantling and reconstructing the cladding on appropriate earthquake-resistant structures in designated areas. The interior spaces will be completely demolished and rebuilt with a new layout and expansion, tailored to meet current functional needs and in compliance with sector-specific regulations (seismic, structural, fire prevention, acoustic, energy efficiency, and sustainability)
