Born in the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, “Narratori della Bellezza” focuses on the younger generations and their ability to learn about, preserve, and share the World Heritage. The project, coordinated by Coldiretti Veneto and supported by Airbnb, educates young people on UNESCO values and the defining characteristics of these regions—from landscape to history, from art to culture, and extending to food and wine and hospitality—with a comprehensive focus on environmental, social, and economic sustainability. In 2023, the project joined the World Heritage Volunteer program alongside 75 other projects worldwide.
The Mario Bagnara Award, now in its second edition, is dedicated to the memory of the Vicenza-based professor and administrator, who was one of the founders of the Italian World Heritage Sites Association.
The category awarded to “Narratori della Bellezza” is specifically dedicated to initiatives capable of informing, educating, and raising awareness among visitors and local communities—with a particular focus on younger generations—regarding the protection of World Heritage sites.
