The Pieve Creativa Association, organizer of the Christmas contest “Scratch, Win, and We’ll Reward You,” plans to donate a portion of the unclaimed prizes to the Casa Maria Adelaide Da Sacco Association, thereby reinforcing the spirit of solidarity and commitment to the local community that has always distinguished this initiative, not just from a commercial standpoint.

The contest, launched in 2019 with the goal of highlighting and promoting local shops in the area’s towns, is organized by Pieve Creativa in collaboration with the municipal governments of Farra di Soligo, Follina, Miane, Moriago della Battaglia, Pieve di Soligo, Refrontolo, Sernaglia della Battaglia, Valdobbiadene, and Vidor, with the support of Ascom Confcommercio (Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Delegation) and with contributions from the Treviso-Belluno|Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce and Banca Prealpi San Biagio.

Over the years, the initiative has evolved, involving an ever-increasing number of businesses and strengthening the sense of community, a sense of belonging to the local area, and public-private collaboration. Values such as mutual support among businesses, support for families, and the coordinated management of economic initiatives on a cross-municipal scale form the foundation of a project that looks to the future without losing touch with its roots, while fostering ties with local volunteer organizations whose mission is to provide assistance and support to the community.

The contest’s format fits into a social and temporal context aimed at supporting the local economy, recognizing small local businesses as an essential element for the vitality and quality of life in our towns.

We sincerely thank the Pieve Creativa association and all the partners involved for this gesture of great sensitivity, – says Augusto Trinca, president of the Casa Maria Adelaide Da Sacco Association. – The donation of these ‘discount vouchers’ represents not only tangible assistance but also a strong symbol of community, solidarity, and trust. It’s wonderful to see how a commercial initiative can become an opportunity for solidarity, strengthening the bond between citizens, businesses, and the local community.

Through this initiative, – emphasizes Mr. Nicola Zandò, Mayor of Vidor, speaking on behalf of all the municipalities that supported the contest, – we sought to develop a network of contacts, relationships, and collaborations among individuals, businesses, and public and private entities, with the goal of fostering the personal, social, and economic growth of the region. This effort embodies the “value of solidarity,” demonstrated through this gesture in support of an organization that has for years been helping and supporting people and young people with disabilities in their efforts to achieve meaningful integration into the community.

The initiative – as highlighted by Federico CAPRARO, president of Ascom Confcommercio Treviso – serves as a catalyst for promoting social life and, at the same time, the economic development of local communities, because it boosts the activities of neighborhood stores, personal services, and public establishments, which are key to the vitality and livability of an urban center. It also confirms that when we work well together, the local community as a whole is enhanced; in this case, it is enriched by a fundamental element at the heart of civic life: subsidiarity and assistance for those less fortunate.

There are everyday choices that, when taken together, – reflects Francesco De Bettin, President of the Chamber of Commerce, – work toward the future of a region. In this contest, the unclaimed prizes were donated to the Casa Maria Adelaide De Sacco association, as if the good fortune of some had found a way to bring relief to others. The solidarity born of those who chose to support their local economy has thus become yet another act of care for those most in need. Initiatives like this are fully in line with the Chamber of Commerce’s mission: to support projects that combine subsidiarity, collaboration, and territorial cohesion. Every person who chose to place their trust in their local economy, every merchant who participated, and every association has effectively contributed to building a more cohesive, more supportive, and, I would add, smarter, community. It is to them, first and foremost, that our thanks go.

The Prize Contest, – explains Walter Zambon, president of the Pieve Creativa association, – has always aimed to support and strengthen the identity of traditional commerce, operating within a broader context that fosters integration and interaction among various actors and components of the local administrative, economic, and social fabric. In line with this approach, this year we wanted to focus on the theme of social inclusion and become part of people’s daily lives.
