On Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Alba (Piemonte), during the national assembly of the “Città del Tartufo” association convened on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, Pieve del Grappa’s admission to the Italian network of the same name was made official, along with three other municipalities. This is an important step that makes the Pieve area the second municipality in Veneto to join the association.
Joining “Città del Tartufo” is therefore a significant recognition, opening up new prospects for the promotion of the product and the protection of the environment and biodiversity in areas where truffles are found. The association has also played a leading role in the process that led to the practice of truffle hunting and harvesting being included in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, a result that further strengthens the cultural value and identity of this tradition.
Joining the “Città del Tartufo” network allows Pieve del Grappa to become part of a national network that promotes a unique environmental heritage and a deeply rooted tradition – comments Municipal Councilor Luca Raccanello, who was present at the meeting in Alba- This recognition therefore offers us new opportunities for promotion and commits us to continuing with even greater attention to the protection of the landscape and biodiversity. It is a result that reinforces the work carried out in recent years and opens up important scenarios for our territory.
For this reason, special thanks go to the cultural association ‘Tartufo del Grappa’ and its president Bruno Ceccato for their great work in promoting and protecting the product since 2014, the year in which it was founded. This result is therefore also, and above all, thanks to them – concludes Raccanello.
