The project “THE THREE SINGERS OF THE MOUNTAIN: Buzzati, Mazzotti, Zanzotto between fantasy, mystery, and myth” was conceived in the wake of the 120th anniversary of Dino Buzzati’s birth. It offers a multidisciplinary cultural journey dedicated to three great authors deeply connected to the mountain, the Dolomites, and Venetian regions: Dino Buzzati, Giuseppe Mazzotti, and Andrea Zanzotto.
Through conferences, meetings, prose theater performances, as well as musical and opera events taking place between May and December 2026 in the provinces of Belluno and Treviso, the project aims to promote the cultural heritage and identity of the Dolomites, portraying the mountains as a place of imagination, memory, and belonging.
Luigino Boio, President of the Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese, emphasizes that this project represents an important moment to celebrate the artistic and cultural value of these three musketeers who, through prose, literature, and poetry, sang the praises of the Belluno mountains and the Venetian territory at large. He further notes that – their relationship, which grew from mutual admiration and intellectual symbiosis into a sincere friendship, embodies the universality of the Venetian soul.
Mario Pozza, President of the Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce, also highlights the strategic value of the initiative – Culture is a powerful and lasting economic driver. The Chamber of Commerce is proud to stand alongside the Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese, supporting it with conviction for years. Initiatives like The Three Singers of the Mountain, which weave together the voices of Buzzati, Mazzotti, and Zanzotto in a multidisciplinary journey through literature, ecology, and identity, remind us that the cultural heritage and identity of the Dolomites is not just a memory to be preserved. It is a living resource capable of attracting quality tourism, boosting local economies, and building a truly sustainable development model. When a region knows how to tell its story with depth and authenticity, it becomes a destination—not just geographically, but within the imagination. This is exactly what the Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese does with consistency and vision year after year, transforming our territory’s cultural excellence into shared opportunities for growth.

Discussions are also underway with other major institutions and associations that have already expressed interest and shared support for the cultural value of the program.
By promoting local heritage through a cultural and tourism lens, the project creates a bridge between historical memory and contemporary creativity, bringing regional and national excellence to the stages of the Belluno and Treviso provinces across prose, music, and opera. The Circolo Cultura e Stampa Bellunese thus continues its mission of promoting regional excellence through annual themed projects. With the 2026 edition, it expands its scope even further with a cross-cutting proposal capable of weaving together literature, ecology, and cultural identity.
