Another masterpiece of nature is the Brent de l’Art, which originated from erosion by the Ardo Stream that shaped the rock walls to form canyons, uncovering layers of rock formed millions of years ago. Their name derives from Valbelluna dialect terms, respectively “Brent” meaning a valley bottom stream and “Art” referring to a rocky gorge.
The trail that leads to the discovery of this natural treasure chest is not accessible to everyone (especially for those who make use of strollers and wheelchairs). Along the trail you will find panels explaining the local geology, flora and fauna.
The colors and conformation of the rocks offer you spectacular scenery while visiting the site. To appreciate the beauty of this setting even more, you can choose to descend the creek through canyoning or canyoning activities for a fun and adrenaline-filled experience.
The local cuisine offers various dishes based on genuine local products, which you can taste at various places scattered in the area, including Bar-Ristorante da Geppo and Ristorante Pizzeria Tea in Borgo Valbelluna and Trattoria L’Oasi in Limana.
Staying overnight nearby will allow you to extend your vacation, continuing the exciting discovery of this area. Of the facilities that might suit you are the Casteldardo Agritourism in Trichiana, Locanda De Conti in Mel and of the Historic Dwellings of the Dolomites in Val Belluna.
