To submit applications for the

“J.Giono – The Man Who Planted Trees” award

2021 edition
After its successful debut in 2019, the Prize that Veneto Agricoltura dedicates to those who have distinguished themselves in their professional or social life in the promotion and implementation
of woody vegetation plantations (trees and/or shrubs) is back.
And as in the second edition, this year the “Jean Giono – The Man Who Planted Trees” Award will be divided into four categories, rewarding four personalities, one for each of the four
categories of the award:
Farmer, farm manager
Technician, agronomist-forestry, researcher
Local government representative (administrator, mayor/councillor, local authority technician)
Volunteer (association representative)
Each winner will receive 250 tree/shrub plants produced by the “Centro Biodiversità Vegetale e Fuori Foresta” (Plant Biodiversity and Wild Forest Centre) of Veneto Agricoltura, which the
winner will use, at his or her own discretion, for the creation of a specific new planting or integration of an existing one.
The Prize will be awarded on 23 September 2021 on the occasion of the “Stati generali dei boschi di pianura” (General Assembly of Lowland Woods) at M9 in Mestre-Venice.
Applications submitted to Veneto Agricoltura by 12 noon on 9 September 2021 will be assessed.
Applications may be submitted by any physical or legal entity but must in any case identify a natural person as the applicant and not an association/collective body. Self-nominations are also
admissible. Nominations may be submitted by persons who have already been nominated but not awarded prizes in previous editions.
The application form, which can be downloaded here: https://www.venetoagricoltura.org/2021/05/bandi-e-selezioni/premio-jean-giono-luomo-che-piantava-gli-alberi-edizione-2021/
, must be sent to info@venetoagricoltura.org by 12 noon on 9 September 2021.
We hope to see you participating in this new edition, as candidates or proposers but also by contributing to the dissemination of the initiative through your contacts.
