The Sile Garden 2026 program continues at the Giardini di Sant’Andrea in Treviso. From August 26 to 30, the schedule features five days of flamenco, jazz, blues, and soul, wellness activities, and a Sunday DJ set.
The week kicks off on Wednesday, August 26, at 6:30 p.m., with ¡Flamenco! Between Dance and Poetry, an event curated by Carla Povellato and Eleonora Zannini featuring the flamenco dance company “Le Sueños y Son.” The show combines the tradition of flamenco with its contemporary expressions: cante jondo, sevillanas, alegrías, rumba, and tangos blend with modern sounds in a journey through dance, music, and poetry. Povellato and Zannini also curated the events at the Giardini last June that brought Grazia Deledda’s work to the stage, marking the centennial of her Nobel Prize award.
Jazz comes to the Giardini on Thursday, August 27, at 9:00 p.m., with “Canvas Melodies,” a project by double bassist Alessio Zoratto. Born in Udine in 1994, Zoratto came to the double bass via black music and the electric bass, discovering jazz around the age of nineteen through listening to Chet Baker. He then graduated from the Udine Conservatory with top honors, including a distinction and an honorable mention, and further honed his skills under Glauco Venier and Alfonso Deidda.
Canvas Melodies, his debut album as a bandleader released in 2024 by doKumenta Music with the support of MiC and SIAE as part of the Per Chi Crea program, features ten original tracks inspired by ten works of art from the 20th century. The journey begins with Duchamp’s Dadaism and winds its way through Matisse, Schiele, Kandinsky, Picasso, Dalí, Magritte, Man Ray, and Franco Fontana, culminating in Basquiat. The idea also stems from Zoratto’s interest in the visual arts, a passion he has nurtured since his days at art high school, and from his desire to establish a connection between images and musical composition. For the concert at the Giardini di Sant’Andrea, the double bassist will be joined by Filippo Ieraci on guitar, Giulio Scaramella on keyboards, and Luca Colussi on drums. Tickets are 5 euros.
Jessica Vinci and Edoardo Cian return to the Giardini on Friday, August 28, at 9:00 p.m., following their concert last June. The duo presents a repertoire spanning blues, soul, R&B, and pop, featuring Vinci’s vocals and Cian’s electric guitar, with minimalist arrangements that leave room for interpretation and dialogue between the two musicians.
Saturday, August 29, is dedicated to Thelonious Music School, which has been active in Vicenza since 1990, teaching jazz, rock, and classical music. At 8:00 p.m., the stage belongs to the students: Vittoria Trevisan on vocals, Giuseppe Berlangeri on guitar, and Jacopo Schio on drums.At 9:00 p.m., the M. Quartet takes the stage with a mix of funk and Latin jazz, featuring two teachers from the school: Emmanuele Gardin on electric piano and Roberto Mosele on guitar, along with Ivan Valvassori on bass and Severino Tomasella on drums. A native of Vicenza born in 1974, Gardin discovered jazz at Thelonious as a student before returning there as a piano and keyboard instructor.
Wellness kicks off the day on Sunday, August 30, at 9:00 a.m., with Yogates, a session combining yoga and Pilates led by Elisabetta Perer – Pererprivè. Perer trained as a Hatha Yoga instructor at the Kevala Centre in Torquay, UK, and also offers Yoga & Sound Healing programs. Starting at 8:00 p.m., Figli delle Stelle—Gianmarco Sarno, Pietro Cercato, Alessio Farina, and Tommaso Agnolin—will close out the week with a DJ set and aperitif, featuring nu disco, house, Afro, and Balearic vibes, in collaboration with Mediterraneo.
Sile Garden 2026 takes place at the Giardini di Sant’Andrea, located at Via Giuseppe Toniolo 8, in Treviso. Admission is free, with the exception of the concert by Alessio Zoratto on Thursday, August 27, for which tickets cost 5 euros. Food trucks and the picnic & chill area are open Wednesday through Sunday, from 5 p.m. to midnight.
