Treviso, 28 July 2021. “On the Wings of the Chamber: where talent is at home” produced by the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno|Dolomites already winner of the
“Candido Cannavo’ Award for the Olympic Spirit” at the international award “Sport Movies & Tv 2020” has been selected in Beijing by the jury of the “Beijing International FICTS
Festival” organised by BODA – Beijing Olympic City Development Association.
This was announced by Prof. Ascani FICTS President, in connection with President Pozza and the trade associations of Treviso and Belluno and the Montebelluna Sportsystem.
A great emotion – said the President of the Chamber of Commerce Mario Pozza – we have teamed up between public and private, we have presented ourselves together with actors who
had never before worked together on such an ambitious project with such an innovative formula. I am really happy that the images of our territories, the brands of our companies and the role of
the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad will be promoted in another continent and evaluated by an exceptional international jury. The festival will take place in Beijing, China, from 23 to 27
October. We are keeping our fingers crossed – hopes Pozza – hoping that the Olympic and Paralympic spirit will reserve us another medal, certain that the images of the territories
and brands will remain in our hearts and wishes for the 2022 Winter Olympics in China.
The “Beijing International FICTS Festival” is organised by the BODA – Beijing Olympic City Development Association, in collaboration with the FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision
Sportifs within the framework of the “18th Beijing International Sports Film Week”.
The dominant theme in this edition is “Winter Olympic Dream”.
The mission of the BODA – Beijing Olympic Development Association is, among others, the promotion of Olympic and Paralympic culture and ideals through sports films, the transmission
of the Olympic legacy through the sustainable development of Olympic and Paralympic causes in the city.
The “Beijing International Sports Film Week”, is part of the World Championship of Cinema and Sports Television “World FICTS Challenge” and is divided into Exhibitions, Meetings, Workshops,
Screenings of works from 30 countries divided into four Sections, including that on “Winter Sports” created to promote the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
In this Section, the Jury selected, among others, “On the Wings of the Chamber: where talent is at home” produced by the Chamber of Commerce of Treviso – Belluno | dolomites.
An excellent omen for Milan – Cortina 2026, the work that won the prize of the world final “Sport Movies & Tv 2020” in Milan, has been selected in Beijing, which will pass the baton to us for the
next Winter Olympic Games – says prof. Franco B. Ascani International President of FICTS – Member of IOC Commission for “Culture and Olympic Heritage”.
The video had the merit of being selected for the mix of messages it communicates: the value of the Unesco landscape, the entrepreneurial excellences, the Olympic and Paralympic spirit. This
gives me great satisfaction, it means that the jury in Milan chose well by awarding it the “Candido Cannavò Prize” for the Olympic spirit. The historic director of the Gazzetta dello Sport
newspaper, the legendary singer of Olympic values, would be proud.
I am delighted – says Tecnica Group President Dr Alberto Zanatta – that thanks to this video, as a team, we are presenting in Beijing what we are, the places we live and what we
are capable of doing. I believed in it right from the start, when the video “On the Wings of the Camera: Where Talent is at Home” was just an innovative idea, to create cohesion between different
players operating in the same area. So let’s go ahead and look at China as the next venue for the 2022 Winter Olympics. We are next, with Milan – Cortina 2026.
