Is it possible to create an intercultural bridge that crosses distances and connects the territories of Treviso and Belluno to the immense world of Chinese culture? We of Trevisobellunosystem have tried to share this experience with operators.
Within the TOURISM SECTION of the Trevisobellunosystem Territorial Marketing website, we have created a section dedicated entirely to Chinese incoming tourism.
We started from a fundamental concept of millenary Chinese philosophy, namely the Theory of the Five Elements (Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire), which we linked with their characteristics and attributes, to the richness and variety of the territories of Treviso and Belluno for a tourism that is aware of the power of cultural mediation of reciprocal knowledge.
An element, in fact, is not just an element, like a place does not only represent the beauty of the place in itself, but encompasses many specificities that we have illustrated, with a new point of view.
We have tried to extend our most warm welcome so that each tourist feels ‘at home’ even if they are in distant lands, and can appreciate our efforts to take cultural cues to interpret the same places with the beauty of the expressions of different cultures, putting the person at the centre.
We aimed to create a path to accompany these two apparently distant cultural universes on such a particular journey, by reaching , through this column, a new point of encounter and dialogue for a high-quality and sustainable tourism.
Looking to future generations and the future of tourism, with the three-year project GenerAZIONE2026 we are working in a participatory network, on Olympic and Paralympic values, for a tourist reception prepared for cultural mediation, sustainability and accessibility.
