In recent years the metaverses and games like Roblox, Fortnite, Minecraft and many others attracts more and more users, especially in the Gen Z and Alpha. Many of these worlds are also offered or visited with clothing and items offered by brands and fashion houses (e.g. Gucci, Nike). But how do young people’s behaviors change between different cultures?
A group of researchers and professors from various Italian universities are conducting this study, already presented at two Marketing conferences (Italian Marketing Society 2023 and Gamma Conference 2024), to understand young people’s preferences regarding the construction of their own character in video games and their interests in fashion, video games and hobbies.
They are interested in collecting data from young Japanese people who play videogames (in general or on platforms such as Roblox, Fortnite or Minecraft), to carry out analyzes and comparisons with users of different cultures (European and Asian ones).
