RECENT EVENTS

Luxury Summit – November 8 
The IACC’s sixth annual Luxury Summit took place on November 8 at KPMG’s Park Avenue Office. In a series of panel discussions, top luxury leaders from across the globe shared strategic insights about the importance of ESG and corporate social responsibility for luxury brands. Panelists also examined how recent economic trends and political environments have affected the evolution of luxury over the last fifty years.

Aperitivo Italiano at Harry’s Table – November 9
Members gathered at Harry’s Table on November 9 to mix, mingle and get to know other IACC members while taking in Cipriani’s newest large format culinary experience. Thanks to all who attended as well as to our gracious host, Harry’s Table, for an elegant and enjoyable evening of cocktails, conversation and networking!

WEBINAR: Grants for R&D: SBIR and STTR – November 15 
On November 15, members joined Man-Li Lin, Economic Development Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA), for an informative workshop highlighting the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs.  Participants learned about several aspects of the SBIR and STTR programs, including: the funding phase process, eligibility requirements, the SBA’s role, participating federal agencies, online tutorials and the tips of proposal writing.

New Member Cocktail Party – November 15 

New IACC members gathered to network and mingle at the A&D Building showroom of fellow member Fantini USA on November 15. Guests had the chance to introduce themselves and their companies to other new members and to share their ideas and business objectives with our staff. Thanks to all who attended and to our gracious hosts for the evening, Fantini USA and its Business Development Manager Diego Zanatta.

Member Appreciation Event at Magazzino Italian Art – November 18 

On November 18th Sustaining and Senior Sustaining Members gathered for a Member Appreciation event at Magazzino Italian Art in Cold Spring, NY.

Attendees were treated to a private tour of exhibitions by Mario Schifano: The Rise of the ‘60s, Ettore Spalletti: Parole di colore, and Carlo Scarpa: Timeless Masterpieces, with museum docents ready to answer any questions, followed by refreshments at cafe’ Silvia.

Thanks to all who attended and to our gracious hosts, Magazzino Italian Art and its Executive Director Vittorio Calabrese for the educational tour and outing!
