IACC Member Università Federico II is proud to present “Pathways to Innovation and Entrepreneurship” summer school session, which will take place at the Tata Innovation Center’s Italian Academic Center (IAC) from June 24-28.

“Pathways to Innovation and Entrepreneurship” is a week-long training program comprised of five interconnected modules that use an interdisciplinary approach to produce societally relevant, innovative and scientifically robust knowledge on sustainability transformations that transcend established boundaries between science and society.

Bridging natural sciences, engineering, and social sciences, the program facilitates collaborative knowledge sharing, empowering participants to devise innovative solutions to industry and societal challenges. With an emphasis on developing an entrepreneurial mindset and fostering critical and evaluative thinking, “Pathways to Innovation and Entrepreneurship” delves into deep tech and social research initiatives within society’s digitization.

SBA Economic Development Specialist Man-Li Lin will walk participants through an overview of IIA and explain how to take advantage of a variety of incentives and programs including: Home Energy Rebates for Small Businesses; Free Assessments and Implementation Grants for Manufacturing Facilities; Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) Implementation Grants for Small Businesses, Contracting with the Department of Transportation, Federal and State contracting opportunities under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL); Contracting and subcontracting opportunities through the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.

Join us on August 28 for an informational workshop offered in partnership with the Small Business Administration during which participants will learn how, where and why to sell to the global market. This presentation will help participants determine whether exporting as business strategy make sense for their business as well as evaluate their company’s export readiness.

On May 10, the IACC’s J-1 Visa Program Specialist Ericka Rodas met with a group of exchange students from Milan’s University Institute of Modern Languages (IULM) who were in New York as part IULM’s Masters in Communications for International Relations program, a postgraduate course of study focused on strategic communications in an international landscape. Ericka presented the IACC’s J-1 visa program to participants, sharing information and insights on how exchange visitors who pursue on-the-job training through the IACC build a unique, global skill set and specialized expertise that can help to launch their professional career.
